Many designs challenges had to be over come with the design and fabrication of this modern railing.
With expansive views of Salt Lake City design had to be minimal so no views were blocked, yet be stout enough to meet the design needs of the home owners.

of stainless steel hand grip and glass panels.

Installed in a new modern home in the trendy 9th and 9th neighborhood. This project was a blend of value engineering and contemporary design.
In order to keep costs down and maximize the true look and feel of steel, a wax finish was used on the railing.
This project showcased all of what Meta Designs can provide on a residential project. Contemporary design, interior staircase and railing,
front porch and stairs, landscaping and planter boxes.

In house design and fabrication. Railing has a unique sage green powder coat finish. Infill panels are a 1” wire weave with a galvanized coating.

The entire project inside and outside is done in stainless steel with no exposed fasteners. 1 1/2in square tube drilled to fit 1/2in solid round bar runners for a total of over 300ft in railing. Stair treads made of polycarbonate.

This railing was designed to showcase the structural attributes of steel without a heavy or overpowering footprint. All balusters are solid steel, 3/8" x 2" flat bar.
Footplates are recessed into the floor and stair treads. Interior and exterior rail totaled 230 lineal feet.

Traditional belly rail defines the edge of the cement porch without restricting the field of space. Powdercoated satin black, rail has forged inserts and 1?x2in top cap.

An elegant and simple solution to enclosing a second floor balcony. Railing made with 1/2in solid round bar with 1/2in x 1in top and bottom caps.

Cable rail deck enclosure fitted with an Epay top cap, metal powdercoated to match wood. 1/8in cable supports are barely visible for minimal obstruction of surroundings. Rail is designed to look like a natural continuation of the deck, inviting its users safe survey of the creek and house-adjoining land.
